Eng. Faisal Ali Rashid, Senior Director, Dubai Supreme Council of Energy

Faisal Ali Rashid, U.A.E national, a degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Dayton, Ohio university-U.S.A. Also, a certified PMP (Project Management Professional). He has published numerous articles and white papers on energy management and sustainability topics.
Faisal is currently working as an energy senior Demand side management director at Dubai Supreme Council of Energy looking after the whole energy demand management spectrum of the emirate of Dubai. He has contributed to the success of DSM programs and energy efficiency policy structure in Dubai. Served previously in oil and gas industry for 15 years as project division manager / Project Manager handled mega feed and EPC projects and worked as general manager in a glass manufacturing plant for 3 years.  

Dr Khaled Sherif,  Chief Economist, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Department

As Chief Economist at Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), lead the development of secondary strategies to implement Vision 2030 for Abu Dhabi. This requires developing a wide range of new public policies, products, and instruments to enhance the development of key sectors in the economy. Additionally, the role entails leading the Emiratization effort and reforming housing finance, pensions and supporting the work of the sovereign wealth funds. The role also requires
a focus on local development to promote infrastructure development in rural areas and to develop associated job creation methodologies.

Hani Abdel Raziq, Associate Director, AESG

Hani is an Associate Director and a KSA Team Lead at AESG. He is Civil Engineer by background with over 10 years of experience in sustainable design and construction. Hani led the development of KSA’s green building rating system (Mostadam) as well as provided strategy advisory support in relation to its operations. He has been involved in providing strategy consultancy to various developers in relation to sustainable cities and master planning. His experience includes development of sustainability guidelines, policies, as well as implementation of corporate sustainability strategies.

Nesrine Halima, Senior Director, PWC

Nesrine Halima is a Senior Director with PwC, responsible for developing market presence across Europe, the Middle East and Africa with a specific focus on Government and Public Service clients. A former Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office of the United Arab Emirates, she has worked on Innovations & Strategic Projects across the Emirates. During the year leading up to Expo 2020, Nesrine was the Director International Substantive Engagement. In this capacity, Nesrine worked with participating governments and international organisations on developing their content and programming for this mega-event. Prior to joining the Prime Minister’s Office, Nesrine was a Consulting Director for Government & the Public Sector at PwC, working with governments across the GCC on organizational strategy development and performance management. During this time, Nesrine was the PwC Regional Leader for Cities and Local Government, and the Regional Coordinator for the Government Group. She has developed widely-distributed thought pieces for the PwC network, and presented to a number of global conferences and forums.

Led operations of two business units actively promoting SDG and CSR components in emerging markets, has a proven track record of impact management thought FDI deploying sustainable finances to industrial scale and nationwide projects. Developed clear incentives for bankable private investments in renewable energy generation ensuring compliance of the financial metrics and bankability features for developers, private investors, lenders, utilities, energy suppliers, and other green energy market stakeholders.

Tamara Bajic, Manager Net Zero Advisory, AESG

Tamara is a Manager – at Net Zero Advisory at AESG. She holds a Master’ degree in Environmental Engineering with specialization in the fields of Energy Efficiency, GHG Emissions, and Decarbonisation. She supports clients to understand their key Net Zero drivers, and reporting requirements, following with the design of tailored Net Zero strategies, roadmaps, action plans, timelines, budget requirements, and supporting tools to successfully implement their decarbonisation initiatives and achieve Net Zero goals.

Karim El Jisr, Chief Sustainability Officer, Diamond Developers 

With 24 years of management experience in sustainability, conservation, and the built environment, Karim combines engineering, sciences, and business management skills towards “net zero”. He spearheads strategic sustainability programs, including climate proof real estate. An effective communicator (4 languages) across a range of audiences and sectors, Karim is familiar with all major sustainability frameworks, the United Nations SDGs, the Paris Agreement, and future technologies.

Dr. Waleed Al Nuaimi, CEO, Etihad Energy Services Company (ESCO)

Dr. Waleed Al Nuaimi is the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Al Etihad Energy Services Co.(Etihad ESCO) 100% owned by DEWA PJSC, Etihad ESCO is a super ESCO in Dubai. Dr. Waleed is Ph.D. in Project Management and has a vast experience in market intelligence and sustainability in the region, bringing in his wealth of experience and expertise to spearhead the development of sustainability and energy solutions that increases efficiency, support business growth, and fuel innovation. Under his leadership, Etihad ESCO has successfully achieved numerous milestones, undertaking several large-scale landmark projects.

Roua Bizri, Sustainability Manager, TAQA

Roua Bizri holds the position Sustainable Manager at TAQA, a role she has held since January 2021. Ms. Bizri led the development of TAQA’s second Sustainability Report and co-led the development of TAQA’s Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) strategy, including establishment of targets across the three pillars. She established the ESG Strategy Project Management Office to follow up on progress of ESG initiatives across the Group and ensure achievement of targets.

Prior to her role at TAQA, she worked as a Sustainability Consultant supporting Ernst & Young New York and MENA Climate Change & Sustainability teams supporting clients on numerous sustainability advisory and assurance projects.

Ms. Bizri holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, New York and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut.

Ahmed Shehada, Chief Investment Officer, Diamond Developers

Ahmed has over 20 years of Investment Banking experience. He held the role of CEO at FAB Securities (FABS) and worked with large buy-side clients, ranging from sovereign wealth funds, quasi-government entities, global funds and family offices. At FABS, Ahmed also worked closely with Private Banking, Wealth Management and FAB’s Strategic Core Clients, and he also spearheaded sell-side coverage areas dealing with Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and UBS. Previously, Ahmed worked at ADCB and QNB, leading strategic acquisitions and taking both banks to a commanding position in their relevant stock markets. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology from York University and an MBA from the University of Manchester-Manchester Business School. He continued his executive education from IMD in Leadership, Harvard in Contract Law and Wharton in Strategic Management.
